Opportunities
For Fall 2025, I am interested in recruiting PhD students and postdoctoral researchers with interests in biodiversity and ecosystem functioning research on agroecosystems. I can best support people who would like to study the community ecology and mechanisms of biotic interactions (e.g., plant-insect, plant-plant, and/or plant-soil-microbe interactions) with a link to various ecological processes. Previously, this work has been mainly focused on the effects of crop diversification on plant-pollinator and plant-mycorrhizal interactions and its effects on plant performance and soil processes. Furthermore, and most importantly, my research group is committed to supporting researchers conducting on-farm research, collaborating with farmers and community partners, and engaging in outreach.
When reaching out to me, please send me an email and include the following information:
-
A brief description of previous work and how this connects to your future research interests related to agroecology.
-
A resume/CV
For prospective graduate students, I can accept students through the Biology Ph.D. program, specifically in the Ecology and Evolution track (see application guide here). I can also serve as an advisor for students admitted to the E-IPER program.
For interested postdoctoral researchers, I recommend suggesting possible fellowships (if eligible) that you wish to apply to and their deadlines. Here are some examples of postdoc fellowships to explore:
-
USDA-NIFA
-
NSF PRFB
